📌Nature of the protagonist
Introducing our proud collection named “Launch Complex 5 w/ Mercury-Redstone” you should not miss.
The Mercury-Redstone was a launch vehicle used by NASA during the early 1960s as part of Project Mercury, which aimed to put the first American astronauts into space. The Mercury-Redstone rocket was a modified version of the U.S. Army's Redstone missile and was used to launch the Mercury spacecraft with a single astronaut on board. The Mercury-Redstone rockets were launched from LC-5 and carried out a total of six manned missions between 1961 and 1963, including the historic flight of Alan Shepard, the first American in space. After the Mercury program, LC-5 was used for other space missions, including some of the earliest unmanned tests of the Apollo program.
